This book tells one of the best stories ever...The making of Texas A&M University. If you can stand to read for a while, you'll learn about the grandest unistitution in the South. All Aggie should read this book! Dr. Dethloff's attention to detail is unbeleivable and he tells a good story.

This could be one of the most insightful books on Parker's style ever published. For all of you musicians who are Bach fanatics (if you aren't check him out), this is the book for you. Henry gives a fresh perspective to an widely emmulated saxophonic vocabulary using a Schenkerian approach(If you don't have Schenker's counterpoint book get it)by addressing Parker's profound "Bach-like" sense of voice leading. Being a noteworthy educator and composer (former student of Milton Babbit), Henry's abitlity to verbalize asthetics is simply astounding. Add this one to your music theory book collection. It's is worth a thousand more than what it costs.

This CD uses avi "movies" to show you good and bad ways to answer interview questions among other things. You'll begin to realize just how much you do not know about the ins and outs of the airline interview process. It can be tricky but this CD will show you how to succeed!

Not much in the way of descriptions, just a brief introduction to each series (Macchia's, Persians, etc.), which I found just enough. What I'm interested in are the actual pieces, and there are plenty of exceptional pictures.
Again, amazing. Truly inspiriational for the novice glass blower and an absolute delight for everyone else!

The story takes place in Zululand, Africa. It happens so that Allan Quatermain stops by his Zulu friend's kraal (to those of you who never read Haggard, Kraal=household) to find that yet another friend is madly in love with the well known beauty: Mameena, or, in other words, Child of the Storm. Allan is curious to see this well known Mameena, but his friend who is in love with Mameena (his name is Saduko) goes on a crazy battle to win 100 cattle for Mameena's dowry. After going with Saduko on his quest and helping him win 600 cattle, Allan meets Mameena, and determines she is the most beautiful woman he has ever seen, and, though at that time Africans were thought of as savages (most unjustly, I have to add), Allan, after observing some treachery done by Mameena while pretending to be unconscious, after knowing she was false, cannot find any reason to resist her love to him, for indeed Mameena tries to engage him in a marriage, but Allan remembers her treachery and tells her no. Many adventures follow after that, until the Zulu King declares Mameena a witch, and Mameena pleads guilty. It is not the kind of Salem witchcraft that is talked about here. It is more like herb-knowledge and doctoring that the Zulus call witchcraft. After recieving her death sentence for many more offenses, including causing a civil war and it's outcome, Mameena makes a last wish. The last wish is... You'll have to figure out this as you read along with the mystery of Mameena's character. Suggested background books: Any Allan Quatermain book. I read this book over and over. It is written in lay terms. I understood it and found it easy to read. It stated the facts without being morbid. For someone who knew nothing about cancer found this book the best explanation about specific types of childhood cancer without comparing to adult type cancers.

This photographic atlas is simple to read, yet detailed enough to provide a good geographic overview of the entire timeline in the Bible. Text is well-written, and maps are clear and comprehensive. It is great for children, but also provides a two-page historical summary and map for each event that is a perfect overview for adults and teachers as well. This would be a valuable reference resource for any church library

My grandmother bought this book for my niece, Allegra, for her 3rd birthday (there is an Allegra in the story and now my niece thinks the book is about her). It's a classic!

This reprint of an original 1878 edition written by John Henry Gray and originally published by Macmillan provides a readable history of China dating from the late 19th century when author Gray served as the Archdeacon of Hong Kong. Gray charted the legends of China and provided insights into its government, society, belief systems and class system: add a first-person observational tone and you have a winner.

This book teach us the optimal lifestyle to follow, at no cost and pain, that will lead us to optimal health. Moreover, it teaches us how to take care of our health problems ourselves --all in natural way, at no cost and pain.
